Current Opening: Adoption Counselor/Reception Desk

Candidates must be proficient with Microsoft Office, have customer service experience, possess excellent phone skills and be able to handle & resolve conflict in a calm manner. Applicants will need to learn a basic database specific to our facility. Positive attitude with people & animals is a must! Applicant should be a team player and yet be able to work independently without constant oversight. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment & under pressure is a must. Legible handwriting is a must, as is the ability to multi-task effectively & ask for help when needed. Limited animal (dog & cat) handling will be required once trained in such handling. Small amount of cleaning or keeping work area tidy is required. Job duties include answering multi-line phones, computer work, greeting & working with customers and animal handling. Attendance & punctuality are important. To be considered for this position candidates must also supply 2 most recent employment references.

Customer service experience required. Previous retail experience a bonus!

Current Opening: Volunteer Coordinator

Volunteer Coordinator supervises volunteers and provides direction, coordination, and consultation for all volunteer functions within the organization. The coordinator is tasked with involving our community of supporters as described in the duties outlined below.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, promote, and maintain a wide range of volunteer opportunities within the organization.
  • Survey staff regularly to assess needs for volunteer assistance.
  • Maintain Volunteer Service Descriptions for each volunteer assignment.
  • Ensure volunteers are staffed to support the various areas of operations to include visitor service areas, education, special events, development, and marketing/communications.
  • Recommend the most efficient use of volunteers, appropriate volunteer/supervisory mix, and future workforce needs to support volunteer program operations.
  • Conduct and/or arrange for volunteer orientation and training.
  • Schedule all volunteer activity.
  • Develop and manage volunteer policies, procedures, and standards of volunteer service.
  • Organize and participate in volunteer recognition programs and special events.
  • Evaluate all aspects of volunteer programs to ensure effectiveness and to recommend/implement changes as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate records and provide timely statistical and activity reports
  • Assist volunteers with animal handling.

    Open Position: Veterinary Technician

    CCSPCA is seeking a dedicated and responsible individual with knowledge of animal health, behavior & handling. Must be willing to work as part of a collaborative team to properly maintain animal health & health records. Monitor animals daily and make decisions & plan of action upon signs of illness or injury. Preform basic medical exams, administer appropriate vaccines, medications, and life supporting medical care. Update animal records with accurate information. Must be 18 years of age and able to work weekends.

    Open Position: Surgical Clinic Technician

    CCSPCA is seeking a dedicated and responsible individual with knowledge of animal health & handling. Must be willing to work as part of a collaborative team to properly maintain animal health & health records. Monitor animals before, during & after surgical operations and make decisions & plan of action upon signs of illness or injury. Preform basic medical exams, administer appropriate vaccines, medications, and life supporting medical care. Update animal records with accurate information.     Open Position: Animal Care Attendant

    CCSPCA is seeking a dedicated and responsible individual with basic knowledge/familiarity with animals. Must be willing to work as part of a collaborative team to properly maintain kennels with thorough cleaning and sanitation protocols. Monitor animals daily and alert medical staff upon signs of illness or injury. Job will require physical activity, and regular lifting of items up to around 40lbs. Must be 18 years of age and able to work weekends.
