BIG RED

On September 27th, 2022 I lost my very best friend....a large Siberian named Tico that had battled Nephroblastoma as a 4 month old and survived until just 3 weeks before his 10th birthday. It was so very unexpected to our family, our house was empty and very sad. The following week I saw on FB that SJRAS was pleading for help and there was a white siberian looking dog that caught my eye so I thought I just need to get back to hiking and I needs a walking buddy, I will foster! That dog was adopted before I could get there and SJRAS called to let me know and see if I would still come....of course I did! Walking all the way through the kennels, everyone was jumping and barking until I got to the very end and saw a red and white Siberian sitting very quietly staring at the floor....I FELT his sadness. Red came home with me that day and I am certain he was sent from heaven because he is so very special. He walks like a dream on leash, he lays down if other dogs are uncomfortable with him or to earn their trust. His presence no longer allowed me to cry, as he would obsessively kiss me every time I tried. He has turned my home back from a place of sad to extremely happy and whole again. We go on walks almost daily, he loves us unconditionally as we do him and I am certain Red is an angel sent to heal us from my babies above....I will be forever grateful for this beautiful creature I am fortunate enough to LOVE! We needed each other, and the rest is just destiny:)
